The International Year One Academic Program is an exciting new study route for international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University, and who show aptitude for advanced academic study.
Rolling out in 2024, the new Academic Program adds to their currently running - and highly regarded - Language Pathway Program, providing students with two distinct entry routes for International Year One study at San Francisco State University. The school automatically recommends this Academic entry route to applicants who they feel would benefit, based on their academic qualifications and advanced English Language proficiency.
Enhanced academic content is also a boost for international students with advanced English language proficiency who may have previously struggled to gain a US study visa on a Language Pathway I-20.
With the Academic entry route, students will be able to confidently apply for their US visa to study through the International Year One Academic Program. This reduces the risk of a visa refusal, saving time and cost, and gives more certainty about future study options.
