About Associate of Arts - Journalism - Transfer
The Journalism program includes courses focused on the subject matter knowledge and competence needed to initiate study of Journalism, Mass Communication, Business, Advertising and Marketing, Sociology, Political Science, Visual Media, and English. Students majoring in Journalism develop critical thinking, problem solving, written, visual, and verbal communication skills, as well as an understanding of legal and ethical issues as they relate to the media.
As Journalism majors, students have opportunities to explore careers in many areas such as digital media, social media, public relations, public information/affairs, photojournalism, book publications, marketing, advertising, communications, technical writing, copywriting, graphic design, newspapers, magazines, radio, and television.
