Political science is the study of governments, public policies and political processes, systems, and political behavior. Political science subfields include political theory, political economy, policy studies and analysis, comparative politics, international relations, pre-law and a host of related fields. Political scientists use both humanistic and scientific perspectives and tools and a variety of methodological approaches to examine the process, systems, and political dynamics of all countries and regions of the world.
Optional Transfer
San Mateo - Cañada College is partnered with various universities and colleges to give interested applicants the opportunity to transfer to a four-year college or university after completing their associates degree or to transfer during their associates degree. Interested applicants should indicate their interest on the application form along with their intended partner university. San Mateo will provide students with the transfer requirements needed to guarantee a transfer. They still need to apply to the university during the regular period, which is usually one year in advance of the start date.
