About College Diploma - Computer Systems Technician - Cyber Security (PCSCL)
Students build their skillset through hands-on experiences that prepare them for entry-level employment without having to complete high-level math courses. As the first public cyber security diploma in Canada, this program can also be their springboard towards future cyber security education or industry certifications.
Sheridan's Computer Systems Technician – Cyber Security diploma develops two of the four specific skillsets within the Canadian Cyber Security Skills Framework: Operate & Maintain, and Protect & Defend. Students will learn fundamentals of operating systems, Python programming, cloud security, data communications, web/application security, tools used for cyber defence and penetration testing, and more.
Active industry professionals will guide students through a blend of lectures, case studies and group discussions. Students will also work with the latest technology in a cyber range that simulates a security operation centre (SOC).
