About Graduate Certificate Bundle - Interactive Media Management (PINME) + Public Relations – Corporate Communications (PPRCC)

Interactive Media Management Program

In the Interactive Media Management program, students will learn to create, manage and develop web and mobile content, leveraging a curriculum in usability, interactivity, front-end coding, social media, user experience (UX) and emerging mobile technologies in an interdisciplinary, inter-professional collaborative learning environment.

Develop superior new media skills in this intensive one-year graduate program, learning to combine graphics, text, animation, audio and video to produce:

  • Web and mobile applications
  • Physical computing and augmented reality
  • Immersive experiences and installations
  • Visual communication and visualization work
  • Games and puzzles

In this program, students will learn to build interactive multimedia environments from the ground up using industry best practices for interface design and interactive programming. Students will use HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, APIs and responsive design to design and build digital media, mobile web, web animation and natural user interfaces (NUI) using multi touch, gesture capture and wearable technologies.

Students acquire valuable experience by working in small, collaborative groups using agile development to manage a complete project through all phases — needs analysis, problem solving, rapid prototyping, user experience design and development.

Public Relations - Corporate Communications Program

Can corporate communications be considered an art form? That's how Sheridan approaches the subject. It's a unique approach among business communications programs, and it produces student work that stands out. The courses in this program feature hands-on, project-based assignments. Students will be working for real-world clients, not just doing classroom exercises.

It takes less than a year to earn a Public Relations – Corporate Communications graduate certificate from Sheridan. Students will build a portfolio, get real-world experience and master both practical and theoretical aspects of business communications. Students will spend the last five weeks of the program in an onsite job placement, working with professionals.

In this program, students will learn to:

  • Apply the critical, analytical and strategic skills prized by employers in corporate communications and public relations.
  • Weave social media and diversity communications into all aspects of tactical delivery.
  • Earn an audience's attention, influence attitudes and motivate behaviour.
  • Produce internal corporate communications plans and activities — the fastest-growing segment of the industry.
  • Prepare strategic plans, crisis responses, media campaigns, fundraising initiatives and other planning documents.
  • Develop strategic communication campaigns that integrate all of the above elements.
