Bachelor of Science - Earth Science - General

Earth science is concerned with the evolution of life, planetary interiors, the causes of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, oceanic and atmospheric phenomena, and earth surface processes. Student-centered learning grounded in hands-on field and laboratory based instruction constitute Southern Connecticut State University’s Earth Science program, which has a more than 50-year tradition of producing first-rate geoscientists with expertise in geology, meteorology, oceanography, astronomy, and environmental earth science.

The Bachelor of Science - Earth Science with concentration in general earth science is for students who wish to pursue a rigorous scientific curricula and have broad interests in the earth sciences including geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy.
