Bachelor of Arts - Biology

The mission of St. Catherine University's biology department is to support and encourage the potential of women in science by providing them with a research-based, rigorous, and integrated biology curriculum.

The curriculum emphasizes science as a process of inquiry and closely integrates teaching with research. Through classroom, laboratory, and field experiences that foster collaboration and self-directed learning, students are immersed in the ways in which scientific knowledge is acquired. Students interact with faculty who serve as mentors to help them develop the confidence, critical thinking skills, and persistence needed for careers in science.
