Master of Science - Geographic Information Science

Become proficient in the methodologies and technologies involved in remote sensing, spatial analysis, and geographic data mapping in the master’s in geographic information science program at the University at Albany.

This two-year graduate program prepares students for a variety of careers that use sophisticated photographic and non-photographic data collection, digital imaging, and advanced geolocation systems to investigate relationships between human culture and changes in the environment.

Coursework includes topics in image processing, automated mapping, augmented reality, spatial statistical analysis, and global navigation satellite systems.
