Program Description
This program is designed for students who plan to seek employment as teacher-caregivers at institutions and agencies serving young children. In addition to providing for the student’s intellectual and personal development, the course work in this program provides a broad understanding of the psychological, emotional, intellectual, and developmental needs of children and the skills necessary for meeting those needs. Graduates may find employment opportunities with various types of institutions and agencies serving young children-Child Care Centers, Nursery Schools, Pre-Kindergarten Programs, Head Start, Day Camps, Recreational Centers, and Social Service Agencies.
