Swansea University's Aerospace Engineering degree gives students expert training in the theory and operation of aeronautical vehicles, from jet-powered and propeller-driven planes to gliders and helicopters. Students will learn about the full engineering journey, from concept on the ground to handling in the sky. Whether students' main interest is design, analysis, testing or flight, at Swansea has it covered!
This course provides a real-world insight into the atmosphere of the planet and the cosmos beyond, as well as the technologies needed to explore them. Students will develop their analytical abilities whilst gaining hands-on experience of state-of-the-art equipment, vital to securing employment in the wider aerospace industry.
In the first year students can take a flying lesson and throughout their course will be working with facilities like the Merlin MPX521 Engineering Flight Simulator, the JetCat P120 Engine and multiple wind tunnels ensuring they are always fully up to speed.
