As a student of English Language and Literature, one will discover the complex and fascinating relationships between literature, politics, and history, as well as study language analysis and language use across various contexts. The course covers topics such as language acquisition, language functioning, societal communication, and over a thousand years of literature, from Beowulf to contemporary works. Students will have the opportunity to delve into national and global literature, Renaissance literature, Gothic and genre fiction, 19th-century literature, modernity and contemporary fiction, gender and culture, as well as creative and professional writing.

During the second year, students have the option to pursue the internationally recognized Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), enhancing their student experience and career prospects.
