Integrated Masters - Master of Science (MSci) (Honours) - Medical Genetics

The 4 year MSci is an advanced undergraduate degree, adding a further research-focused year to a 3 year BSc. This will give students an in-depth knowledge of the fundamental building blocks of all life on earth. The MSci programme follows Swansea University's BSc in Medical Genetics course, but offers specialist training in a broad range of laboratory techniques. In the additional year, students will develop an extended, research project.

This advanced undergraduate degree will give students an in-depth knowledge of the essential building blocks of human life. Students will learn techniques for analyzing gene expression, protein interactions, DNA structure and damage, image analysis of biomolecules and cells, and advanced computer analytical methods.

Students will develop excellent analytical and project management skills and learn how to design experiments and plan work programmes.
