About Master of Philosophy - Education
A Master of Philosophy in Education enables students to undertake a substantial research project led by their own passions and interests.
Students submit a thesis of up to 60,000 words for Master of Philosophy assessment, demonstrating original research with a significant contribution to the field of Education. This is followed by an oral examination of the thesis (a viva voce examination, or viva).
Working at an elite academic level, students will conduct original research. The research strengths of the School of Education (SUSE) reside around six main areas of scholarship:
- Early childhood
- Digital skills
- Widening participation
- Leadership
- Professional Learning (including Additional Learning Needs)
- Teacher Education
