About Master of Science by Research - Global Environmental Modelling
The Master of Science by Research in Global Environmental Modelling allows students to undertake a year long individual program of personally and professionally enriching research. The research project will be shaped by participation in global environmental modelling research activities such as seminars, workshops, laboratory activity and field work, as well as students' involvement in one of Swansea's established research groups.
The diverse work of Swansea's current research projects includes:
- Advancing the application of stable isotopes in tree rings as indicators of climate/environmental change
- Quantification of the past and future contribution of glaciers and ice sheets to sea level rise
- Understanding the response of the biosphere to variations in climate
- Understanding international migration patterns and processes associated with forced migration, labour migration and ‘mixed flows’
- Cities and urban theory, focusing on the interface between human geography and continental philosophy
