Program Description
Zoology is dedicated to the academic understanding of animal behaviour and effective methods of enhancing animal welfare. This spans everything from animal anatomy and evolution, to physiology and ecology. Swansea's BSc Zoology degree gives students an unrivalled opportunity to study animal behaviour, physiology, taxonomy, ecology and conservation.
Swansea's graduates have become Ecologists, Project Officers, Hydrometry and Telemetry Officers, Benthic Taxonomists, Wildlife and Education Officers, Animal Keepers and Crop Technicians. Swansea's department has strong connections with international and national organizations such as Natural Resources Wales, The British Mammal Society and The National Wetlands Centre Wales which will add value to their studies.
