Electromechanical engineers work on everything from energy generation and hybrid vehicles to aircraft design and satellite technology.
The University of Edinburgh also have strengths in renewable energy, including marine energy. This was pioneered here by Professor Stephen Salter, inventor of the ‘Salter Duck’ in the 1970s.
