Program Description
In Trent University’s Honours Arts path students can begin first year expanding their horizons, engaging in discussion with faculty experts and exploring a few different areas of study before declaring a major or joint-major in second year. This first-year pathway gives students the flexibility to combine different disciplines and take courses from programs across the humanities and social sciences.
Program Highlights:
- Develop skills as a thoughtful, critical, and effective communicator through discussion-based lectures led by professors who are leading authors, artists, and researchers
- Become a creative problem-solver by studying across disciplines in the social sciences and humanities to explore different and complementary ways of thinking

- Learn the foundations for academic success in the unique first-year course UNIV1000H with just 20 students and led by an esteemed leading prof
