The Computer Network and Security concentration focuses on using computer science skills to analyze, design and implement policies and practices to prevent and monitor unauthorized access, misuse, modification or denial of computer resources. Students will work on projects that focus on building modern cipher systems, intrusion detection systems, data-driven security systems and building secure computer networks.
This concentration prepares graduates to work in computer science careers such as Network Security Engineer, Security Architect, Security Administrator, System Administrator, Network Administrator and Network Consultant.
