University Certificate in Christian Studies

This is a one-year certificate program that will introduce students to the principles of Christian discipleship and spiritual formation, the history of Christianity, and other topics. It is designed to ease the transition from high school to university and is also a good option for those who are returning to undergraduate studies after time away. This program may be taken full-time or part-time and courses may be transferred into a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Religious Studies degree program.

Program Outcomes

Students in the Christian Studies program will:

Have a basic biblical foundation and an introduction to the history of Christianity.

Have an introduction to principles of Christian discipleship and spiritual formation.

Be able to express themselves well in writing and be familiar with some important works of English literature.

Gain practical ministry experience.

When students complete this program, they will earn a Certificate in Christian Studies. Courses from this program may also be transferred into a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Religious Studies (BRE) degree program.
