Bachelor of Arts - Product and Furniture Design (with Professional Practice Year)

The BA (Hons) Product & Furniture Design degree course at UCA Canterbury offers students the opportunity to collaborate with fellow design students in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role their products play within a larger context. This includes understanding how products interact with various ecosystems, encompassing space, style, technology, cost, and value. Additionally, students will learn to identify their target audience and recognize market gaps, subsequently filling them with innovative ideas and prototypes.

Throughout their studies, students will be guided by a team of experienced academics and technical staff who actively contribute to the industry through their own work. Furthermore, students will have access to our well-equipped workshop facilities, which include tools and equipment for working with wood, metal, and plastics. From the very beginning of their studies, students can expect to engage in hands-on creation and practical application.
