About Bachelor of Arts - Art Education - Licensure Multi Age PK-12
The art education program in the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art consists of a core curriculum of theory and practice that prepares students to work in a variety of organizational settings, from museums to recreational centers. The Bachelor of Arts in Art Education plus licensure enables graduates to teach in classrooms from the preschool level through 12th grade.
A degree in art education paves the way to teach in elementary, middle and secondary schools, and to specialize in a particular area of interest, such as drawing, photography or ceramics. All students seeking licensure must be enrolled in a College of Education teacher preparation program.
