About Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering Technology (Optional Co-op)
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program at The University of Akron educates students about product testing, the design of products, and the machines required to manufacture them. The students are recent high school graduates, transfers from other colleges and institutions, and individuals currently employed who are looking to advance their careers.
Students will learn:
- builds on the knowledge and skills developed during their associate degree studies
- provides a comprehensive understanding of mathematical and scientific principles
- features technical courses taught using engineering drawing and modeling tools as well as algebra, trigonometry and geometry
