Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Business Management with Communications with Year in Industry (N191)

The BSc Business Management with Communications and Year in Industry programme, with teaching from industry experienced staff, sees students gain graduate jobs globally, with alumni at Jaguar Land Rover, Barclays, Lloyds, Disney, PwC, Ogilvy, Edelman, Sky, Channel 4 and McCann.

This programme combines a broad-based business degree with a strong marketing and communications theme, emphasising the importance of relationships within and between businesses and the communities they operate in. Students will examine the importance of business communication and the growing number of channels used to achieve it, developing practical and analytical skills underpinned by theoretical knowledge of corporate communications processes and strategies.

Communications modules are taught in intensive, small-group workshops. Students will also study a wide range of topics from the Business Management programme, allowing them to keep their career options open, and to demonstrate a broad understanding of business and a wide range of transferrable skills.

The first year provides a broad-based business management foundation with Principles of Marketing as a foundational module, including specialist communications guest lectures. In the second and final years, students will study contemporary communications strategies with more Marketing options to suit, whilst uniquely building a portfolio via creative campaign workshops, including producing marketing video for the web.
