About Integrated Masters - Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) - Pharmacy (B230)

The Pharmacy programme allows students to make a true difference to patients lives. From learning in the dedicated specialist laboratories or on the frontline during the placement with one of the University of Birmingham's exclusive partners, students will be supported to become an essential part of healthcare.

Throughout this 4-year MPharm Pharmacy degree course, students will be taught the science underpinning the use of medicines, including the physiology and anatomy of the human body, the effect of medicines on the human body, and how medicines are designed. Alongside this, students will be trained in clinical communications, problem solving, and decision making to ensure they have the skills to enjoy a rewarding career in pharmacy and contribute to patient care.

Students will experience significant clinical placements in all four years of the Pharmacy course in primary care, community pharmacy and hospital pharmacy. These carefully designed applied activities and learning tasks will provide students with the confidence to move into their professional life upon graduating.
