About Master of Arts - Photography
Photography at Brighton is taught within the context of the fine arts and oriented around the development of student projects. The aim is for students to develop a strong and sustainable artistic practice and body of work that they can confidently exhibit and publish. This will provide a solid foundation for a career as an independent photographer or artist, or for more commercial or community-based activities.
The course includes a strong theoretical component, as it is important for all students to understand how to conceptualize and contextualize their practice and effectively communicate it to various audiences.
The program is dedicated to an exploratory and thoughtful approach to picture-making that reflects our experiences of the modern world.
