2-Term Undergraduate Foundation Programme - Engineering and Physical Sciences - Continue to - Bachelor of Science - Software Engineering

The Undergraduate Foundation Program in Engineering and Physical Science program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to a wide range of undergraduate studies at the University of Central Lancashire.

The Foundation portion of this program lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

There are four academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare them for university study. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Engineering and  Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Life Sciences.

The students will get to explore the development lifecycle of a wide range of technologies. From mobile phones to enterprise applications, develop their skills through design, implementation and testing. The students will develop interactive games using 3D graphics. Work as an Agile team to develop realistic applications, such as augmented reality apps. Develop skills around advanced programming and computational thinking.
