3-Term (Extended) Undergraduate Foundation Program - Life Sciences - Continue to - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Psychology and Criminology

The Undergraduate Foundation Program in Life Science program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to a wide range of undergraduate studies at the University of Central Lancashire.

The Foundation portion of this program lasts one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

There are four academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare them for university study. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Engineering and  Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Life Sciences.

In the Psychology & Criminology course students study the core Psychology modules alongside the related discipline of Criminology. Choose from a range of criminology and psychology optional modules, exploring issues such as violent and sexual offending, cybercrime, youth justice and the operation of the police and prison services. This provides them with the benefits of understanding perspectives from different disciplines on the same phenomena and provides with a wide range of career options upon completion of the course.
