About Bachelor of Science - Biology - Area 4: Integrative Biology
Program Description
As students study organismal biology, they will gain knowledge of the diversity within the major groups of living organisms, as well as learn classification systems within each group and how the group functions.
The main focus of this course of study is to develop an understanding of how structure and function are related and how they develop through both evolutionary and developmental processes. Organismal biology also explores how structure is related to the niche that a particular organism occupies. Included in this focus are fungi, algae, plants, insects and other invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
