Program Description
The combined 4 year programme allows students with lower academic marks, or whose qualifications are not equivalent to British A Levels, to gain the necessary qualifications to proceed to undergraduate study. After completing the Foundation Year, students will be eligible to progress to a number of University of Chester undergraduate programmes.This course will allow students to focus on the use of psychology in areas including understanding crime and criminality, criminal investigation and profiling, and the criminal justice system. This course is also accredited by The British Psychological Society as conferring eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC).
The course has been designed to follow the British Psychological Society (BPS) core curriculum. In studying Forensic Psychology at Chester, they will provide students with opportunities to undertake specialist project work in forensic related areas, and develop their knowledge of the most recent theory and practice in the area through expert teaching from active researchers.
