Program Description

• Integrated and cohorted courses, so you’ll be in some classes with U.S. students and others with your designated UDayton Global cohort.

The B.A. in mathematics allows you to develop the skills necessary for careers in business, education or the social sciences. In order to prepare you for work in our global society, students in the B.A. program will also complete a language requirement. You may satisfy the requirement by taking a proficiency examination, completing an intermediate-level language course or participating in an approved education abroad experience.

You are encouraged to participate in an undergraduate research project with a faculty member. Topics range from theoretical to applied mathematics, and it is possible to engage in cross-disciplinary, team-oriented research experiences.

You can also choose to share your interest in mathematics with students by pursuing the teaching licensure option. You will fulfill the requirements in the Department of Mathematics, as well as those designated by the School of Education and Health Sciences for teacher licensure by the state of Ohio.
