About Academic Accelerator - Bachelor of Science - Exercise and Movement Science
The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a two-semester program designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, but who also want the benefit of English-language and student support to help them thrive. The program curriculum offers a balance of university-wide and AAP-exclusive courses, with English-language course supplements that equip students with the practical, subject-specific vocabulary and skills they need to excel in their coursework.

A seat in credit-bearing courses, so you can earn a full freshman year’s worth of credits while taking courses tailored to your needs as an international student. This will help you achieve your academic and career goals.
English-language instruction designed around your social and academic needs.
Integrated and cohorted courses, so you’ll be in some classes with U.S. students and others with your designated UDayton Global cohort.
As a UD Health Science major, Students will start on the path towards a career related to health and medicine. Students will pursue an in-depth study in their area of concentration, choosing from one of three options:
- Integrative Physiology: For individuals interested in professional schools, such as Physician Assistant, Medical or other graduate programs in Biosciences and Health Sciences.
- Exercise & Movement Science: For individuals interested in Physical Therapy, Orthotic and Prosthetic, Athletic Training programs, or other related fields of study.
- Occupational & Behavioral Studies: For individuals interested in Occupational Therapy, Behavior Therapy, or accelerated Nursing programs.
All three concentrations typically require additional schooling — either at the graduate or doctoral level — after earning a bachelor's degree. No matter which concentration, students will receive innovative, hands-on experience through community physical education programs, student-led organizations, and research with faculty & peers.
