We are committed to providing you with a strong background in political science, supported by courses in other fields. To ensure you are prepared to both lead and serve in your profession, community and the world, you'll take academically challenging courses and apply your knowledge through real-world learning.

Our flexible liberal arts curriculum allows you to personalize your education and meet your career objectives by selecting a second major, minor or area of concentration in a related discipline.

In order to prepare you for work in our global society, you will also complete a language requirement. You may satisfy the requirement by taking a proficiency examination, completing an intermediate-level language course or participating in an approved education abroad experience.

If you are interested in teaching at the secondary level, you can acquire teacher licensure through the E-11 program. This program, established by the School of Education and Health Sciences for students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, leads to a Bachelor of Arts with a major in political science and Ohio licensure to teach in grades seven through 12.
