Integrated Masters - Master of Arts (Honours) - Geography and Politics

In Geography students will study both social and physical sciences to analyze and understand major challenges facing the world. They can specialize in human geography or physical geography, or combine elements of both. Students will also have the opportunity to go on field trips, and to work with partner organizations to help them solve real world problems.

University of Dundee's teaching is based on the research carried out in the department and is focused on three broad themes: creating just communities and places, shaping environmental futures, and geospatial and digital methods.

Students will cover specialisms within these themes including:

Politics confronts the big issues that affect society. Students will get an overview of the British political system as well as examining some of the most complex problems faced by humanity and the ideas that underpin them. Students can study from optional modules on Russian, Irish, and Middle Eastern politics, nations and nationalism, political theories, and on human rights and humanitarian intervention.
