Master of Science - Sustainability

Study the law and governance of strategic decisions on complex economic, environmental, and technological questions around sustainability. 

Students will examine the relationship between energy, the environment, and climate change and how they relate to sustainability throughout all sectors in society. They'll learn to design and plan interventions for creating change to promote greater sustainability across different scales.

They'll learn to analyze, evaluate, and critically review theory and policy debates relating to sustainability. Students will also be able to draw on international perspectives and examples of best practice in relation to methods of evaluation and assessment of sustainability.

They will have the opportunity to go on a related placement with industry or the public sector, where they will work on an actual case for real clients.

Students will also be part of the research community at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) and the wider University, and participate in the annual Dundee Energy Forum and the climate change conference.
