About Bachelor of Arts - Game Design

Computer, video and mobile games are the medium of the future. Already today, more than 40% of Germans profess their love for them, with 90% playing them multiple times a week. Games mean entertainment and business, yet they also reflect personal expression and global perspectives – and most of all, they're a lot of fun. As a game designer, students will create innovative game mechanics and shape game narratives. With their expertise, students will be involved in all stages of development: from the first idea through to the technical and creative conceptual design and finally the design of spaces and characters.

At the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE), students will have the unique opportunity to put together their own combination of game design, development and art, which means that they will get familiar with the individual disciplines as well as their mutual influences during a game design degree.

Across six semesters, the game design curriculum provides students with a broad understanding of the foundations and concepts within the field of game design. From art design and cultural studies in the first semester to games as expression in the fourth, students have the opportunity to explore a wide range of skills and gain good knowledge in the field by choosing to study game design at UE.
