Program Description

The most successful social workers are those with strong leadership skills, compassion, and the drive to help individuals improve their lives. The University of Findlay’s Social Work Program looks for students who demonstrate a commitment to social change through work experiences, academic endeavors and extracurricular activities or community service. ​Outstanding field placement possibilities in both rural and urban settings. Findlay's social work program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1995. All the graduates are able to meet all requirements and obtain professional licensure immediately upon graduation. ​In the last three years, 100 percent of the graduates have either found employment or entered graduate school within three months of graduation.

As a graduate of Findlay with a degree in social work, a wide range of employment possibilities include: mental health facilities, child welfare and adoption agencies, hospitals and public health agencies, schools community centers, family services, facilities for the developmentally disabled, non-profit organizations such as United Way, homeless shelters, youth centers, and community action agencies.
