Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Sport and Exercise Sciences (C616)

Sport and Exercise Sciences is unique in its breadth, ranges across maximizing individual and team performance to enhancing physical and mental well-being nationally.

Students will join the Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Sciences with Integrated Foundation led by the University of Gloucestershire Sports Sciences team that brings together biomechanics, physiology, psychology and professional placements to help them uncover and sample pathways to a career in sport.

This degree is BASES (British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences) endorsed course, learners will start their journey to becoming an accredited Sport Scientist. Students will undertake an extensive range of health and performance-based measurements, from body composition to exercise cognition to motion kinematics. From there they will develop dietary strategies, interrogate the sources and prevention of injuries, discover the connections between physical activity and the mitigation of chronic disease, and reveal how humans react in extreme environments.
