About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Journalism (P505)

Students will learn all the skills needed to become a multimedia journalist, from creating exciting content for social media and podcasts to broadcasting live from the University of Gloucestershire's industry-standard newsrooms in the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. The University will turbo-charge their confidence so they embrace the University's ‘say yes to everything’ mantra and do things they never thought possible.

Graduates will put new skills into practice every day on a hands-on course where they will never be just a number. They will be taught in small groups where they will very much be part of a community.

The University's accreditation from Britain’s biggest journalism training organization, the National Council for the Training of Journalists, means they can be sure that the skills they are developing are the ones that employers prize. They will have their own exclusive industry mentor in the final year, and the chance to go on placements at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), commercial radio stations and major regional news brands such as Reach and Newsquest.
