About Integrated Masters - Master of Engineering (MEng) - Mechanical Engineering (H304)
Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the MEng Mechanical Engineering course includes three years' study at bachelor's level plus a final year leading to a master’s degree. Learners will study areas such as structural mechanics, electrical circuits, fluids and powder dynamics, and thermodynamics. The final year includes a master's-level engineering project that'll develop their teamwork and leadership skills.
By the end of this integrated Master's course, students should be equipped for a career as a professional mechanical engineer in areas such as high-value manufacturing and the automotive and aerospace industries.
Students go to a range of companies and organizations of varying sizes for their placements, including large multi-national firms, government agencies, the NHS and small to medium sized companies engaged in research, analytical services and manufacturing. Previous students have worked in Eon, Dyson, ADEY, PS Analytical and E-liquids, GSK, NHS hospitals.
A number of former MEng Mechanical Engineering students have started their own companies or have gone on to further postgraduate study.
