The University of Greenwich's MA in Education course is ideal for anyone who is passionate about education and wants to make a difference in the lives of others. Whether students are already working in teaching, education management or policy, or a graduate interested in pursuing careers in education, this course provides the knowledge and skills to enhance their career prospects. For those who have a previous postgraduate study from related disciplines can transfer up to 90 credits, reducing the time it takes to gain a master’s degree.

This course extends and deepens students' understanding of current theories, policies, and issues in the field through intensive study and research. They can tailor the course to their interests by selecting their topics, and working towards one of the specialist endorsements like Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Early Years, Inclusive Practice or International Education.

Teaching comes from an experienced expert team of lecturers which include academics and practitioners with a wide range of experience. Over 90% of the University's teaching team holds a teaching qualification. Learning on the course takes place through interactive seminars, where students will be engaged in the process of learning through class and group discussions.

Outside of timetabled sessions, students will need to dedicate time to extend their learning through self-study by researching and reading around the topics covered. The University library and online resources will support learners' further reading and research. Students can also join a range of student societies, including law and debating.

Graduates from this course may go on to develop careers in a wide range of roles and institutions, from middle and senior management opportunities in education and community organizations to doctoral study and research.
