About Master of Arts - International Business

Understand strategic alliances, global commodity chains and customer relationship management with this MA in International Business.

Students will develop a range of intellectual and practical skills to become a specialist in the global knowledge economy. This course considers the increasingly multidisciplinary and international nature of modern markets.

On this International Business course, students will learn to distinguish and apply relevant research methodologies, techniques and tools. Students are encouraged to join extra-curricular societies and work on real business projects. The degree's Client Based Dissertations will help students develop a clearer sense of how to link theory with practice and enrich their profile in the job market. Previous students have developed their projects for organizations, including: Barclays, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Trade Unions Congress to name a few.

In a typical week, learning takes place through a combination of lectures and seminars. Students will be able to discuss and develop their understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller group sessions. Outside of timetabled sessions, they'll need to dedicate time to self-study to prepare for coursework, presentations and exams. Greenwich's Stockwell Street library and online resources will support further reading and research. Learners can also join a range of student societies, including the Business Society.

Graduates pursue their management career in a wide range of multinational companies, non-government and public sector organizations. Some might find employment in small and medium enterprises in international trade, and local or central government. Some of the University graduates have joined ABN AMRO, Accenture, CNN, Hertz and Kerry Group.
