About Master of Arts - International Events Management
Study Greenwich's Master’s in International Events Management in the heart of London! This course is ideal for those who like managing events and want to develop as a professional.
The events industry is a dynamic and rapidly growing sector which requires commercial and creative expertise. Many organizations now invest in live communications to create experiences for customers, motivate employees, and develop meaningful brand advertising. If students wish to develop management potential within the events sector and improve their transferable skills, this MA International Events Management is the ideal course for them.
Students will learn how to plan and deliver an event, and appreciate the broader environmental, cultural, and political contexts in which events take place. The program modules also focus on relationship marketing, financial management, and managing culturally diverse teams - all of which will develop each student's skillset as an events professional.
In a typical week, learning takes place through a combination of lectures and seminars. Students will be able to discuss and develop their understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller group sessions. Outside of timetabled sessions, they'll need to dedicate time to self-study to prepare for coursework, presentations and exams. Greenwich's Stockwell Street library and online resources will support further reading and research. Learners can also join a range of student societies, including the Events Society.
Students have to complete a Live Event Project where they'll develop and deliver an original live event; negotiate with suppliers and clients.
Graduates pursue opportunities in senior positions in a wide variety of roles connected with events and events management. This may include events management companies, PR firms, local authorities, performing arts companies, festivals, conference venues, theatres, hotels, sports venues or concert halls.
