About Master of Science - Financial Management and Risk

Want a career in corporate finance, financial management or risk management? Greenwich's MSc Financial Management and Risk offers students the skills they need.

Develop knowledge and critical understanding of financial management and organizational needs with this internationally-focused Master's in Financial Management and Risk. This course is suitable for anyone wanting to build their financial skills before taking up key roles in corporate finance or risk management.

On this course, students will consider the effect of globalization and global operations on financial management. Students will also develop their knowledge and understanding of the varied needs of organizations in both domestic and international financial activities. Industry experts, including senior executives from Northern Trust and Barclays, take part in guest lectures and provide career development advice.

In a typical week, learning takes place through a combination of lectures and seminars. Students will be able to discuss and develop their understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller group sessions. Outside of timetabled sessions, they'll need to dedicate time to self-study to prepare for coursework, presentations and exams. Greenwich's Stockwell Street library and online resources will support further reading and research. Learners can also join a range of student societies, including the Accounting and Finance Society and the Trading and Investment Banking Society.

Graduates from this degree may find employment in industry as financial managers, corporate treasurers and risk analysts. Various employers include AES Corporation, Ahorro Corporation, European Dynamics, Headstrong, Piraeus Bank and Polish Telecom.
