About Master of Science - Forensic Psychology
The MSc Forensic Psychology degree is designed to prepare learners with knowledge and skills required for a career in a forensic setting. The team responsible for students' learning and development throughout this course all have extensive experience working with the police, prison service and the NHS.
This course is now accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), which means that by obtaining this MSc, students will be completing the first stage in their professional training required to become a qualified practitioner and an accredited Chartered Forensic Psychologist.
Students will investigate the experiences of those who commit crimes as well as those who become victims of crime. They'll have the opportunity to construct and carry out applied research projects in the field.
Graduates of MSc Forensic Psychology can pursue a career in prison service; secure forensic hospitals; youth offending services and institutions; police service; security services/agencies; data collection and analysis in the Government sector e.g. Ministry of Justice or Home Office; and academia
