About Extended International Pathway Program (IPP) - 3-Semester Pathway + Bachelor of Science - Civil Engineering
Program Description
Civil engineers will help solve critical challenges of the 21st century by rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure; planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining our built environment while protecting our natural resources; and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve a sustainable world and raise the global quality of life.
UHart's program provides undergraduate laboratories and student-oriented collaborative space for research and project-based learning opportunities. Students creatively develop innovative solutions to issues facing society working alongside engaged faculty members and professional practitioners.
UHart's industrial and local/state government partners, alumni, and faculty work closely with career services department, to provide a strong and robust network so students can obtain paid internships during the school year and summer. Along with academic success in the classroom and involvement in extracurricular activities, these internships provide our graduates an added advantage to begin their career as a successful practicing engineer or continuing onto graduate school.
International Pathway Program
Students should be advised that this is the Extended 3-Semester Pathway option for this program.
The International Pathway Program (IPP) is open to students who need to strengthen their English skills before studying a degree program in the USA. The IPP offers undergraduate students the additional support needed for their first year of university study. Students’ academic, social and personal success are ensured while in the program as they prepare to continue on to their degree.
Each semester students will take a combination of Hartford academic courses (credited) and English courses (non-credit). Course options are dependent upon the required pathway. Once students have reached the required English level, they can progress to their program at the University of Hartford.
