About Bachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering (Optional Co-op)
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department offers two undergraduate programs:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCPE)
Taking courses in either Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is organized into two phases. The first two years are the Electrical Computer Engineering Base. The Base provides fundamental skills in math, science, and electrical engineering, and is identical for both programs.
In the last two years of the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree plan, students must choose one of six Concentration Areas. The Concentration Area allows them to choose a subset of Electrical Engineering that is of particular interest to them, while still encouraging them to take courses in related areas.
All students in the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program must submit a Degree Plan for Electrical Engineering prior to enrolling in their first Concentration or Electrical Computer Engineering Elective. They will then be assigned a Faculty Advisor in the chosen Concentration Area. Following the initial advising session with the Faculty Advisor, the student may proceed to enroll in Elective courses.
