About Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Law with Business (M112)

The LLB (Hons) Law with Business is a three year full-time degree. It will give students a wide understanding of key legal topics and related skills, as well as developing business skills and competencies. As well as enabling students to progress to the next stage of legal training as a solicitor or barrister, it’s also a great choice if students want to move into a career outside of the legal sector as they will study a range of business modules that will make them employment-ready. Studying this degree will also mean students are prepared in part for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1) or to progress onto the Bar Practice Course (if they wish to qualify as a barrister).

With the LLB Law with Business degree, students will gain valuable real-world skills and experience through their study and business-related work placements. Mock trials, law simulations and pro bono work will ensure students graduate with a practical understanding of law and business. Students will learn valuable transferable skills that could help in various professional careers, such as in the finance, banking and legal sectors.

The Law with Business three year full-time degree will give students a wide understanding of key legal topics and related skills. It also allows students to develop business skills and competencies. The University of Law teaches students practical skills that are relevant and applicable to the realities of working in the legal or wider business sectors. Over 90% of the University of Law tutors are qualified lawyers, so students will learn how to apply law from experienced professionals in practical methods that have been tried and tested in the real world.

With the addition of a variety of business related modules, students can customise their learning to suit their career interests. Whether they are interested in marketing, finance or HR, or many other areas, students can explore many exciting business fields in tandem with their legal studies. The business modules will give students a great insight into how different departments within companies operate and perform together to keep a business working efficiently.

Students will take an additional Foundation Year before they start their LLB. This introductory year focuses on developing the key skills required to study at degree level. Students will study six modules and on successful completion progress onto any of the three year degrees.
