Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Business Management with Law (N23M)

Students will take advantage of the University of Law's close links between business and law for an undergraduate degree designed to give them the best balance of business management and legal knowledge to help them kick-start their career.

Underpinned with the key aspects of business and management, this BSc Business Management with Law course specialises in areas including the gig economy, ethics, business law and international corporate law. Teaching is delivered by business and legal professionals with a focus on what is important to students - employability.

This degree is for those wishing to pursue a career in corporations within the commercial transactions or business development areas, where legal aspects together with financial elements are of key relevance.

Students will also have an opportunity to qualify for the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership, dependent on successful completion of relevant modules.

The BSc Business Management with Law is an ideal degree for ambitious individuals wishing to pursue a wide range of business careers which combine legal expertise including HR, compliance, governance, management, and business.

The programme will enable students to explore and develop skills in all key business disciplines, with an additional focus on business law.

The first year of the course will explore the foundation elements of business management. Years Two and Three will then examine these areas in greater depth together with law modules. Some of these Law modules will be shared with LLB students. Throughout the course, students will get to develop transferable skills such as research, presentation, critical analysis, problem solving, team work and entrepreneurship.

Students will be equipped with the knowledge and expertise required to add immediate value to any business organisation.

Students will take an additional Foundation Year before they start the course. This introductory year focuses on developing the key skills required to study at degree level and covers the same modules across all business and law courses. The modules covered will initially enhance communications skills, digital and information literacy and ability to think critically. In addition, modules covering the Foundations of Business Management, Law, and Social Sciences will not only support progression onto the business degree, but also gives students an introduction to other disciplines. Students then have the added flexibility of switching their degree programme if another discipline captures their interest, subject to availability and entry requirements.
