Program Description

This University of Liverpool pathway covers the learning of both Latin and Greek and reading texts in the original language. The programme extends from beginners level in both languages to advanced level, and students will be put into the programme at the stage that fits with any previous experience they have had. There are five levels for each language in this programme, and students are slotted in at the appropriate level for their language experience. It may be that students will do Greek I at the same time as Latin III if they have an A level in Latin and not in Greek.

Media coverage represents the most important method for communicating key issues and developments in most subject areas to the wider world, so Communication and Media makes an excellent partner for 50:50 combinations with another subject. This means that students will find plenty of opportunities for crossover between their other subject and Communication and Media, but students will still study core modules from both. In Communication and Media, the full range of Liverpool's modules will be open to students in Years Two and Three.
