University of Minnesota Duluth's (UMD) English Language & Culture Institute
The English Language & Culture Institute (ELCI) provides courses for international students who want to improve their English for academic, professional, or personal reasons.
Located on the UMD campus, ELCI provides an opportunity to experience life on an American university campus and interact with American students. ELCI students come from all over the world. And ELCI looks forward to welcoming students to its community of English learners.
Intensive English Program
- The Intensive English Program is CEA-accredited and consists of 20 hours per week of studies (full-time).
- I-20s can be issued for student visas (F-1).
- Part-time study is available to students not on a student visa (F-1) sponsored by ELCI.
